A short History of OSPS
The Ohio Stereo Photographic Society was formed in May 1997 to promote stereoscopic photography among its members and to the general public. A short summary of the club’s beginnings was published in the Stereogram in June 2007, to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. “After driving with me to Detroit for two years, Jim Motley came up with the idea of starting a Stereo Club in Cleveland. This was back in Fall of 1996. Jim and I felt that there was sufficient interest to start a club in Cleveland. All we needed was a few dedicated members at first. Having the Detroit club as a model, we knew that once the club was formed, the “magic” of stereo photography can attract new members.” Another anniversary article was published on June 2017, to commemorate 20 years of our club.
